Delivering meaningful benefits for North Carolina

Delivering meaningful benefits for North Carolina
Two energy leaders. One shared commitment to North Carolina.
Dominion Energy North Carolina will continue operating under its trusted name, with Edward Baine continuing as president and local leadership remaining in place.
Immediate Rate Relief
The combined company would provide approximately $67 million in shareholder-funded bill credits distributed over the first two years following the close of the transaction. The credits are designed to reduce the average residential bill over that 24-month period.
Reliability and Resiliency
NextEra Energy's best-in-class grid strengthening, modernization and restoration capabilities complement Dominion Energy North Carolina's strong record of reliable service.
Clean Energy
Dominion Energy would combine with the world's leader in renewables and battery storage bringing additional expertise across renewables, storage and nuclear to help meet North Carolina's clean energy mandate.
Commitment to Employees
Dominion Energy employees would receive 18 months of job protection and 24 months of compensation and benefits protection following transaction close, and the combined company would offer meaningful career opportunities across a growing enterprise.
Community Commitment
The combined company will continue Dominion Energy North Carolina’s long-standing community commitment and increase shareholder-funded charitable giving by an additional $10 million annually across South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia for at least five years following closing.
Large Load
The combined company would have a continued commitment to ensuring data centers and other large-load customers continue to pay their fair share.
